Academics Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Huddersfield, who are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to making a real difference in children's lives.

✨ Your Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs

• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement behaviour strategies

• Build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils

• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

🙋 Who We're Looking For:

• Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, care or similar)

• Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills

• A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for helping children succeed

• Ability to remain consistent and fair when managing behaviour

• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
